Samsung Illusion, available from Verizon Wireless, is a smartphone powered by Android 2.3.  It provides a quality experience at an inexpensive price.  Illusion features a 3.5-inch touchscreen that is, indeed, very responsive despite its lower 320 x 480 HVGA resolution.  It also has a 3mp camera, although it doesn't support video recording.  It may have a low on-board memory but it does offer a microSD port supporting up to 32GB external memory.  The processor is clocked at 1GHZ.  Verizon's suite of VCAST music and video apps is pre-installed.  Its web browser works sensibly fast.  Samsung Illusion is significantly cheaper than the higher-end Android phones released by other brands on 2011.
